Sweet! Tell us more about it mate and how you came to find it.
There's also a dedicated safari thread but has lapsed a bit.

Plenty of safari threads on here though.

Ok here's the story, after having been a Land Rover fan for some 25 years , owned LR series II , LR County 110 V8 3.5 / 4.6 LPG (the best) , LR Range Rover 3.5 '82 LPG ugly but very good , LR RangeRover P38 - 4.6 drives like nothing elso so good , yes better as a Patrol but ohhhh the electrics and overheating 4.6.
So a good friend pointed me at the Nissan Patrol. Almost went for a 90's model 3.8 diesel , but was not 'it'. Then came this Yellow one up in Gumtree. A bit far from central NSW to Melbourne so had extensive phone talks with seller, He sounded to good to believe, but I believed him , he was as passionate as they come. Appeared he needed to free-up cash to expand his business. So forced himself to part from his 'baby', but no buyer came for months, he nearly decided to spray it white as Yellow is not every one's pic. Then I came , I never thought of a Yellow car , but this Yellow is special - it's Renault Sports Liquid Yellow as used on their limited edition sports versions. I.M.H.O a brilliant colour, with the black accents a real head turner. On top of that a young auto box , piranha . bosch dual battery, zero rust , new wheels / tyres . So I made the trip car/train/train/train/car : 24 hours. Upon arrival in rainy Melbourne picked up in the Yllow beauty and knew 'this is all OK !' . So bought it without much concern and drove back North over two days with out any trouble at all. Just passed NSW rego inspection (blu slip) with flying colours. The vehicle colour makes it a bit complicated in the bush were I live , but I'll adjust , just ave to carry a sharp machete to keep the car free from scratches from now on ;-)
