    And....

Superiors are made to a price point. I reckon I could gurantee they wont be as reliable as the ome.

Fox are produced on a scale much larger than superior and the ome bp51.

The bp51 like the original ome will be well tested for australian conditions. Im unsure if they are made in australia but certainly would have been designed here. All this ads to the cost.

Sure they arent cheap but its still the consumers choice to buy what they want. Buy the best you can afford. If you want better then keep saving.

I mentioned a comparison earlier, if I wanted to put a nice ohlins shock on my motocross bike (only 1 and its only a 100kg bike with an 85kg rider on it) then I would at the least be out of pocket $2500.

Bloody hell I never imagined shocks to be so important and expensive if you wanted a nice rider. I always assumed it to be the springs and the other "links" in the setup that mattered the most.
A little while ago when I was buying the OEM setup for my 4.2 the bloke I deal with told me they have something coming for the GU that will make your car just about float on air... I'm guessing these shocks are what he meant.

Springs only carry the weight. The shocks do most of the work. When you have good shocks it is easier to end up with the right springs.

    Yea for sure..
    It does all add up..
Some very cool inovation in them.
So yea I can see the price need..
But not the sorta thing you "just buy" like you do a standard ome kit lol..

On the basis that you buy a Patrol as a Keeper and want to do 2 or 300,000kms in it over some very harsh terrain then these make perfect sense. As I stated my GUIV has done 170,000 on its current OME. It's been great. Passed every test. I might get another 30,000kms? Probably another 130,000kms likely.

If I'd bought these I'd be thinking about freshening them up rather than replacing them. These are the bomb!

I will be seriously considering these when the time comes. I'd keep my current kit though to put back in the car to sell and sell these separately.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

If I put them on the GUIV then decided to sell the GU in a few years these would go on the GQ!! Winner!

OME Bp51 now available on patrols

I too have heard nothing but praise of BP-51 on other vehicles , namely hilux ,FJ and I think Wrangler, maybe Ranger.
So smooth and solid, it was described as like on rail at high speed.

These will be on my truck once released and will be selling the OME suspension on it now.
I have still not received the phone call from my ARB that they can be ordered.
As there are three of us waiting for instant order.
