The TC - The 2013 GU

I've waited decades to get a designed and purpose built 4WD. I've had a Mitsubishi L300, LN65 Hilux and a D40 Navara. All were great vehicles and lots of fun, but the GU is my first, what I call, 'real' 4x4. My Father got me interested in 4WDs many years ago when I was little. He passed away never owning a 4WD but always wanting one.

So I've named the GU after my old man, TC.

It's a 2013 ST GU ex Vic Police unmarked car. Came with steel bull bar, Warn 9000lb winch, rope, dual batteries, tinted windows, roof bars, 7 seats, tow bar, snorkel. Great service record, very clean inside & out, 52,000Ks.

Here's a pic as she is now, no mods, stock as a rock.

She's going in to grow by 3" tomorrow, so the next post will include an 'after' image :-)

Immediate plans include:
EGR - Catch Can - External Phone connection - spotties - UHF - iPad mount. If anyone can think of any useful/essential mods to add to that list, please yell out.

We have a trip across to WA in September, so lots to do before then.

So the 3" lift has been in for about a month.

Dobinson coils, Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks, Superior trailing arms, extended links ...

The ride is much better, a bit firm in the rear end as I plan on putting a rear bar on at some stage so I went with HD coils.

I can do this now ...

The flex is fantastic, it makes a hell of a difference.

I'm also .. slowly .. building up storage in the back ...
