I never go into the outback with out a decent supply of water,
and the general rule for how much you'll need is three litres
per day , per person, per man per degree over 25 degrees
celcius, per kilometer if walking on foot, in the winter months
dividing it by two, plus... another litre... at the end .... Russell Coight

Late
This is one of the engines Asia Imports had for sale for $6900. 99 GU TD42T with auto flexplate.
Friend in Melbourne just bought this one to replace his TB45E.

Since I fitted a Mamba 16G/6cm I can honestly say my TD42T auto is easily more powerful than my TB45E was.
It pulls really hard and holds boost well between shifts. A real pleasure to drive now.

Why so many issues after rebuild? Is it a parts quality problem or labour quality Problem?

parts quality is a big one - new sleeves that are not round, inconsistent material thickness of sides, not put into block correctly
crank balancing shops not doing correctly
head machining shops not doing the job correctly
the list is endless, except, when a petrol car engine has a problem with shoddy workmanship, its not as expensive as when your building a TD42
some of the above are from "reputable" workshops
