Fuel economy
Hello patrolers I want to buy a patrol but am unsure which one.
Don't like the modern technology so I'm leaning towards pre 2000 models. I was told on previous chat that the 2.8 6s were simple enough but how does the economy compare to the 3 ltr 4 cyl.
I'm not up to date with the modern terms so can someone please explain what nads means please. I'm not really computer literate either. Typing this thread on my phone has taken about 10 min.my current drive is a 60 series cruiser 2H motor getting approximately 16l per 100 k and when towing my boat it gets embarrassing.anyone no what the 2.8s can do or the 3s.any info will be greatly appreciated.

If you are getting 15 on the highway I think I'll be getting about 20 then.
Not real good ay.

It all depends on a few factors like, which engine you get, which model, mods, type of driving and how you drive. Just remember Patrols are
a heavy purpose made vehicle so economy isn't a strong point.
Have a read of this thread and it might help you make up your mind.

My advice is: not to follow my advice.

what tyre pressures do you run on the HWY, I run 40 psi,
Plus do you have a roof rack again that take 30-40 klms
a tank away.
