If you have checker plate on your sliders
could be the riverts starting to come loose
and vibrating through the steel work

No checkerplate on rock sliders... when it made the noise today, if I touched the accelerator pedal ever so slightly to bring the revs uo from 750 to 800ish the sound goes away... Any ideas?

G'day SKID, have you tried everything else suggested above, especially Kimbo's idea? Definately no mounts rubbing steel on steel again? Not sure what Donk you've got but is 750 too low anyway? Cheers :-) !

So all new mounts all over are good, have checked? NissanNewby would know the correct idle for a silver turbo but the poor buggers super busy :-)

mine is a silvertop td42 in a gq and it seems to make the same sort of noises. did find the clutch shield loose as in it was cracking off. but it still makes the noise. my body mounts are still original... i've given up chasing the noise for now but if you find it i'll consider fixing it...lol
