Drop arms or drop boxes make no difference here. Done is Done!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

I'm with John. That reading is BS..
    Unless it's miles high..
But if they defected him for a few mm I'd be taking those cops in..

    Anyway..
I'm still torn between 2" or 3" anyway..
Your GU looked normal MR when you were down here last year..
    That's why I'm thinking 3"

Bump stops is another I haven't thought about with the 3"..

Drop boxes are instant defect, and lately I've seen more and more cops having a look under rigs aswell as around.
I personally don't like radius bushes in anything more than 2"..
And so is an exhaust with no cat. I'd be more concerned about that over drop boxes.

    Ok guys..
    Crunch time..
I have dropped the 3" idea and looking at going the following

    2" springs
    3" shocks
    80 series bumps all round
Raise the front shock tower 25 - 30mm (depending on how much I can without needing to drill the body to fit shocks)

    Now...
Fox have come in at $1700 for their adjustable remote res shocks.
And $220 a pair of linear rate springs or $250 for variable rate.

Superior have come to $1420 for their shocks and $240 for springs..

So.. Are fox worth the extra?
Both are adjustable on the fly.
    Both fully rebuildable.
    Both 2" mono tubes. .

Is fox better or is it brand name pays??

    Cheers

There was a FB vid or something about the yota bump stops not actually being any better than OEM upon testing. Dunno where it is though.

Yes they compress down to the same or smaller than the nissans but Nissan Bumps (on the rear) just stop where are the 80s will absorb some force as they compress.

You are going to hopefully do 200,000kms on these shocks Kallen. Fox would get my money. In the grand skeem of things the extra couple of $100 will not be missed in a couple of months and forgotten over 5 or 10 years.
