Diff Cut?
G'day Folks,
Has anyone ever cut these off?
I've been told they were molded in for the original production line stands to rest in?
Was thinking they look like catching relatively easy and possibly help drag crap along too?
Cheers in advance!

You can actually cut ALOT off the bottom of the diff. A good 25mm and weld a flat plate on. Worth 2" of tyre size!!! Biders in Cranbourne would sort that out for you. Patrolapart may even sort that for you mate.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

Some images of shaved diffs https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sour...iff%20imagesme.
Why have I never heard of this before? It is so simple but I think the diff housing would lose a bit of strength wouldn't it?
Edit, Beat me to the punch, MR.

For sure :-) Ripper pics and idea's thanks gents !
That would definitely ease rut drag & rocks!!
That mod might have to come a little down the track when casholly permits. Any negatives to structural integrity chopping into the diff so hard?
She's pretty heavy my girl :-) !
