    Wilsons Prom April 2016

Just got home from beautiful Wilsons Promontory. Amazing place. Not much 4wd-ing, if any at all. But so much to see using the car. We stayed in Sandy Point but traveled 60km's south to the furthest drive-able point of the cape, Tidal River. From there you can only hike/walk for another 50kms south, which we didn't do. Also done some fishing at sandy point estuary and caught nothing...
Trip to Mount Oberon was canned because the road was closed, supposedly amazing view from up there. Oh well next time.
Made a mistake of driving back north to Yanakie after sunset. The amount of animals on the road was un-believable. During day time nothing to be seen except snakes, snakes and more snakes, absolutely everywhere even in cooler weather.

All in all, amazing place where I'll go back to in order to see more! Wish I was more into hiking etc, to hike in and go to the southern most point for a night or 2...

    Thought I'd share some pics...

Truely a wonderful place down there. I've been thinking about going back down there and take the kids next time.

Nice one mate, great photos. It's a amazing place down there.

I've hiked around a couple times, but haven't been back Since the big fires a couple years ago.

It's stunning. As I said i wish I was into hiking more to go deeper into the bush and explore.

They have a shuttle to Mt Oberon from tidal river . You can walk or drive up y here unless the car park at the Telegraph point is full then they close the Rd at the bottom then you're forced to take the shuttle or walk a long walk up... no thanks lol.
