G`day Apollofish, using a Pentax K-30, 16 Mp DSLR bought a few years ago. Great camera, weather & dust resistant with some great features. Been using Pentax for over 30 years. There up there with the Nikons & Canons but don't get much of a mention. Got a few lenses, a Pentax WR 18-135, a Sigma 22-80 DL Macro & a Sigma 70-300 DL Super Macro.

The K-30 has been superseded by the K-50 which is more or less the same.

Link to the K-30 if you want to check it out. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentax-k-30

    Cheers.

Question I do have is: How much touch-up work was done using Photoscape or do you use it to re-size??
I use Photoscape mainly when I re-size, quick and easy. Too old to understand a lot of the program.
Hi ovo50, Just a few tweaks with Photoscape, cropping etc. Most are straight out of the camera. I Use Windows Paint to resize, find it better for that job. I drop the image size down to 1000 pixels for the longest edge, seems a good size for social media.

Found a good photo editor a couple of days ago, does a great job, can even handle RAW files, easy to use. Link - FastStone Image Viewer 5.5 - http://www.faststone.org/ Might be worth a try. Never to old!

    Cheers

I been using Pentax cameras for about 15 years, but the lower end of the cameras.
(I knock them around a bit and have lost a couple over the years)
Currently use a X-5 and pleased with it.
Again, great photos you have taken.

That is some amazing photos there mate. The Firetower one in Bellangary State Forest, is stunning! Wish I was more handy with our Nikon.

Thanks Hodge, Great camping area up there, waking up with a view like that every morning. All the way to the coast near Port Macquarie about 70 km away when it's clear.

Just need to be in the right place at the right time with the Nikon, most of those pics were just point & shoot.

    Cheers.

Great work VK - its obvious how much time and effort you must go to in order to get some of those shots. Great shots are in the skill of the photographer, not the camera.
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.
