    yeah thats what im hoping to do just wanted to check to see if it would cause any dramas taking it out

    now just to work out the best way to block the whole in the exhaust manifold

    I reckon you might find that the hole in the exhaust manifold is only into the heat shield and not into the actual manifold

    you were spot on! have taken it out and sloppily reattached the square plastic parts together and will see how it goes

    Yes I reckon it would make quite a racket if there was an exhaust dump right off the engine lol.

    Having the filter over the carby gives you more options on where you run the snorkel piping too

    Trying to look into replacing the stock air filter box with something more water tight. Or at least weld a round pipe off the end of the current one

    Also pretty sure that thing I took off was doing nothing anyway. The bendy pipe that connected the heat shield and it was crushed down the centre of it
