In the fuse box see which one is blown then track it back from there
could be earth related bare wire or any combination you want

I hit a big patch of water on the road a week ago the car stopped running it would start and run for 10 seconds and cut out again i found a blown fuse replaced it and it ran fine.A week later it cut out again the same fuse blown again but now when I put new fuse in and turn key on it pops straight away the car will run with out fuse for 10 seconds and stop have no ignition light or blinkers have lights , radio and dash lights.

One tried and true method of finding a fault is to replace the fuse with a test light so you can pull sections of the loom in that circuit apart until the test lamp stops working. that will give you a starting point anyway and is way cheaper than replacing fuses . Good luck.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

I would be looking in the engine bay first, have a really good look
at all your wires especially around the battery. Use a test light as suggested.
Where are you Mat some one close maybe able to assist two minds better than one

I know this is an old thread, but incase anyone has a similar issue.....
My MK did this same thing.. started to blow the Engine fuse.
Now what I found with mine was a fault in reverse switch on gearbox..
Motor would run fine until selected reverse.
I unplugged the wires.. no problem blowing fuse.
I made a jumper wire and connected the reverse light wires together, bypassing the switch.. not blowing fuses..
Connect switch again.. pop goes the fuse.
Hope that may help someone else with a similar issue..
Cheers
