4 speed auto tranny fill point

    Hi,
I have a 99 GU 4.5 TI auto and want to take the pan off and replace the atf. I realise I will only get about 4 - 5 litres out. However, I want to check with others, is the plug on the rear of the transmission on the vertical section the fill point. I'm pretty sure it is, just checking.
    Thanks.

As far as I know you fill via the dip stick hole.

You will only get about half the fluid out as most of it will be in the torque converter.

That's how it's done. Through the dip stick tube.

Filter is a metal gauze and doesn't need to be replaced. Simply wash it with solvent
