Gu diesel lift pump

Hi all, I serviced the TD42 last night and after replacing the fuel filter on the bottom of the lift pump, she seemed to be starving for fuel. After checking a few things I noticed that the button on top of the lift pump would suck itself down a few seconds after starting the engine, I'm guessing that the pump is knackered but just checking that I haven't done something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like a blocked fuel line from the tank to the lift pump.
I had the same thing happen on my Hilux.
