Exhaust wrap help now
Hi all . Question on the fibre glass exhaust wrap that I put on yesterday.
Is it normal for it to smoke a lot while it beds itself in. Saw smoke comring from engine bay and shat myself.

Don't say that.
While putting it on it did pick up a bit of oil/ grease etc. maybe that's burning off

Yea mate I use it all the time on motors at work here and yes it smokes and stinks until it dries. I assume you did wet it to put it on?

That's a big negatory buddy. Went on dry. Have I fooked it or is that to keep the fibers from flying off. Had a 30 min drive now and has stopped smoking.

Probably ok, I have never done it dry. Much easier to work when wet and you can get it really tight and overlapping. If its stopped smoking and still on there its probably OK
