I have the same problem on my 2010 Patrol. Interestingly it is on the passenger front, not the drivers which obviously have had much more use.

I am having the same issue, I might try the cleaning method before pumping any money into it.

I was gunna post something about this too, but somebody beat me to it.
I changed my driver's seat belt only around 5 years ago and it's doing the same thing.
Will try the suggestions provided and get back to you with the result.
Take care out there.

The fact is the wind mechanism in the belt loses its tension reasonably quickly and just won't work. You would think that after years of this crap Nissan would have woken up to the fact some time ago and replaced the belts in later cars - but they didn't. When I installed the new belts I tried to pull the old ones apart as I thought they could be wound on a bit more. Good luck trying that! The after market ones work perfectly.
How long did it take to install the new ones, Im sick of the sloopy one I have atm

About 30 minutes a side. If I had to do it again it would be quicker. You have to change the receiver on the seat as well because they come as a set.
