    GU Rear studs

    Hi all,
I'm off to Cape York later in the year and getting a few spare ready.

I want a set of spare wheel studs and wanted to know what's the difference between the front studs and the rear of a leaf sprung ute with drum brakes.

Is it just length or something else. I have bought a set for the front and if the only difference is length will they get me out of trouble if needed?

    Anyway any help appreciated.
    Cheers
    Stephen

Do you happen to know which set is longer? I only have a front set at the moment and the rear are not as common, the only place I have found that has them wants about $15 each which I am prepared to pay if I have to but would like to know if the ones I have will do the job.

Shocks are being replaced before the trip so I will keep one each of the old ones.

    Cheers

I'd be going over every nut and bolt and and torquing them up to spec.
Notice your going in a ute you lucky bugger, Id avoid a roof rack if taking
a wagon. You can Hamburger it most of the time , Best trip to travel
light. I went with 2 mates in '83 brought 3 frozen T bones steaks and a
loaf of frozen bread at the Bamaga supermarket and had the best feed
on the banks of the Jardine ever even had a Big fire,
getting Pi$$ed on by the bats, best night ever lol

    Thanks mudski, good to know.

    Three Dogs
This will be my Fourth trip up that way, I really love it, fist time in the ute though looking forward to it.
I had a mate who was interested in going but not a great deal of 4x4 experience so out of the goodness of my heart I decided to accompany him.

    Cheers
