Did you take the 1/2" line back and slap old mate with it?

Nah, still haven't paid for it yet. He has been very good to me over the years. He had ordered 5/8 hose and was actually going to swap the hoses for nothing. But I didn't like the idea of sitting out here in the tinder-dry paddocks with no mode of transport, so grabbed the other hose and fitted it.

I just hope the cavitation has done any damage, because I prodded the Old Trol with a stick after fitting the other 1/2 inch hose. After I found out that it was restricting the pump, I didn't get the engine over 2000 rpm.
