Yeah, I was. But, TB and TD42 are swappable engines, aren't they?
Pretty much a straight swap, as far as mechanics go?!!
RB30, some 2-3 inch lift auxiliary LPG tanks

The issue with predicting how long an engine will last is that by 400k most components have reached there designed life span. Things like case hardening on camshafts (very thin) could wear through. Valve seats burn and therefore the valve cant cool and burns, piston rings lose their tension on sidewalls etc. All the servicing in years gone by, how good a quality oil was used, all the times it got worked severely in heavy sand dunes, overheated or ran hot, how well it was put together at the factory will determine its life span. And of course how it is driven. Having said all that and if it has had a lovely little life, it could definitely go another 100k, possibly 200k if everything go's perfect and you do drive like Nanna before your arms will be reaching right down into your pockets

My TB42s has over 430k on the clock. Gets driven hard, revved hard and left to sit for weeks. I keep an eye on the oil and coolant but as said above, theres no point over stressing about its longevity. Cross that bridge when you get to it and for now just drive and smile!
