91 GQ Patrol 4.2D LWB - The blue beast (Tanzania)

Hi Guys, just thought I would start a thread about my 91 Patrol. I intend to slowly do it up and use as a tourer around East Africa. Pictures to follow.

She's in great nick, done 310,000 kms, has no rust, had new suspension (with about 1" lift) fitted and running a mix of 31" tyres.

Ideally my list of fixes includes the following:
    1. New Striker Plates for all doors to eliminate some rattles
    2. Soundproof the interior
    3. New Dash or control console (current speedo is cracked)
    4. New paint Job (we all know white goes faster!)
    5. Roof rack for the rooftop tent (Maggiolina Hardshell - we have this already)
    6. Drawer sliders and cargo barrier with Waeco Fridge slide
    7. Dual Battery system with inverter, USB chargers, 240v plug sockets etc
    8. Long range tank
    9. One piece rear windows
    10. Work lights and spotlights
    11. TURBO and intercooler.

It's probably going to cost me way more than the car is worth but a man needs a project! Spares are expensive and second hand are hard to come by so it may have to be done very slowly...

Those Maggiolina's are the bee knee a bit pricey but an awesome product.
Ive noticed lately there are some copies being sold over here.
Great project look forward to future mods.
