What type of Patrol do I own?

I am used to entering my VIN number into CARFAX to find out what type of vehicle I have. I would like to know what type of Patrol I am driving. I have my motor number and chasis number, but the paperwork doesn't include what type my Patrol is. Any suggestions?

Are you after the model as in: GQ or GU. Or the series as in GU3. Or the trim specs as in: DX, ST, Ti?
What is the year of manufacture? What features does it have inside (ie: leather, carpet, satnav, electric windows/mirrors...)
Can you post a couple of photos?
Also, there is a software download on this forum of a program called NISSAN FAST that tells you all of the above from the VIN.

I just noticed in your introduction that your patrol is a 1996 model with a carburettor. That would make it a GQ here but they were sold as a GR in the UK so it is probably that. What size engine is it? It should either be a 4.2 litre (called TB42) or a 3 litre (called an RB30).
