How many run an air tank and why ?

Does anyone run an air tank for extra volume,
I had a big one in my other 4x4 and that was very handy.
Even a small hotdog style fitted in the sills would be great for a locker.
I run a tank/motor in one for my front locker[to be fitted] plus an air horn.
this also fills an extra tank I have both fitted to the cargo barrier.

I run a 9lt tank from my twin arb compressor.

I use it for my locker, cleaning , pumping tyres ,inflating airbeds and inflatables and so much more

Yep, have one on mine, fitted by prev owner as it was a farm hack and therefore ran air tools etc.

Very handy but not absolutely essential.

Tanks are only needed if you require volume to supply the flow for Air Tools and the like or fast/flat tyre inflation and in this day of hi flow compressors are needed less and less for reccy use.

I had a chance to get Endless air very cheap but it took a day to install that put me off.
But endless air and a 2nd alternator converted to a welder would make me happy

I brought the single one and thats awesome, tempted to get this one

This is pushing out over 10CFM of air now thats impressive,
combine that with a tank and you could run a rattle gun easily

Plenty of room along the chassis ,depending on the size of the tank

I’ve got a 9 litre one in mine, I find that an air gun to be one of the handiest ways of cleaning stuff when out in deserts & dusty country. The 100% duty compressor probably doesn’t need the tank for inflating tyres, but I had planned to use a few air tools. However experience now suggests that a bigger tank is needed for this.

I have a blue tongue const air compressor fitted to the truck, but find it a bit slow pumping my tyres. A 9 litre pump, precompressed before a airing up would speed up the process

I got the compress very cheap, and have it mounted in the jack storage area on my gq

Those with a tank how have you dealt with the condensation,
just empty the tank every now and again into a seperate container.
Either with a spring loaded drain plug or a simple tapered one.

Might grab the tank [5 gal] out of the Troopy and fit it somewhere on the Patrol.
