OLD 4x4 MAGAZINES HOW WRONG WERE THEY EH!!

My son found an old copy of 4x4 Australia mag, it features a
road report on the series 2 Patrol and a section on buying 2nd hand GQs.
I had no interest in it at the time, but found some of the report quite funny.
Well I did anyway here a few of the head lines lol

Well with 6 reported cases of electronic faults causing fires and the countless gear box issues I'm hearing of down here I wouldn't touch em..

We've got a few at work. There not bad to drive apart from the horrible amount of electronics that tries to take over all the time and their stiff as. Had two with exactly the same problem with randomly getting flat batteries (real quick - like within an hour) Been back to Ford countless times who are hopeless. Given up on them just carry a jump starter pack, their nearly out of lease now.
They've sold like hot cakes, must be a few happy campers out there tho.

... and the Ranger engines that blow if you don't do the oil changes juuuuust right because the variable flow oil pump won't self prime.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
