    Oil leak

Hello fellow patrol owners. I am a new mebber just signed up today. I just purchased a 97 RX 2.8T patrol 7 seater wagon. I noticed some oil smudge on the outside of the inlet to the turbo. The vehicle goes like a trooper, but just wondering if any members have dealt with the same problem.

I moved your question here so it has its own thread.

More than likely the oil you are seeing is just condensed crankcase ventilation oil mist. If you have a look inside the duct that runs from the air cleaner down to the turbo inlet you will see oil coating the inside of the duct.
It is normal but can be eliminated by fitting a crankcase ventilation filter or catch can.
