    Tb42e loom to Td42

Hi okay next job I have a full Td42 loom minus power windows and Automatic transmission wiring, I also have my Td42e loom with these in it. So has anyone removed the required wiring from one loom and spliced into the diesel loom. I guessing for the Auto wiring best work from the transmission computer towards the T bar and then on through to the engine bay. With the power windows I guess from the kick panels to fuses and relays.

Any help would be appreciated thanks...

Pezzer, don't over think it. If you're using your own trans and just swapping the bellhousing, leave your TB wiring untouched. That will garantee your trans works.
Your alternator wiring can simply be lengthened and it will work as before.
Find the power wire that goes to your dizzy and use it for the fuel cutoff solenoid.

I used my TB45 temp sensors as well. I don't know if yours will fit the TD but if they so, use them.
For the glow circuit, I bought an OEX adjustable glow timer from Ebay. Works perfectly.
That will get you running. You can do your tacho sensor and water in fuel sensor later.

I meant to ask, are you using a TPS on your IP? If so, you can just lengthen your current TB wires. That will ensure you keep the circuit to the TCU intact.

What parts of the TD loom do you want to splice into the TB?
I would have thought that you'd need 90% of what the TB loom does.and it would have been easier to only add what you need for the TD.

Have a good look and see if it wouldn't be easier to put the TB loom back in as it is.

Dunno if it helps but give Killa Kustoms a call. He converted my ZD loom to suit the TD. I just sent it up to him, a few weeks later he sent it back and it was just a matter of plug and pray.

No i am converting to manual also, so i am hoping everything from the TD42
