Crikies should be interesting! ! Haven't been up Ellis track for a very long time, looks like its changed a bit. Wasn't tooo bad agess ago. Looks like I'm in haha, just need to get the car sorted. . . fuel pump seriously on the way out now. . .
Yeah long time ago. Did it my old hilux no lockers and it was pretty easy in the dry. I think it's been left as a bit of a playground track that's why is petty knarly. Used to be quite a few challenging ones in that wesburn area think some have been closed and others are maintained to a nice standard. Will be interesting to have a bit of a look round tho.

Hmm, yeah okay! I think it might be a bit trickier now, but I did watch a video of a Disco get up it.
It has been voted as the hardest 4WD track in Aus by Mud Map.

I had a looksee up Ellis Track a few months ago in the dry .... I know it from my motorbike rides, and it is hard enough on the bike ( but we normally go up in the wet ).
A couple of weeks prior to our club trip going through there, a Landy came to a massive amount of grief with a big rollover. It was all gone and cleaned up - with no traces left behind when we went through.
I drove up to around halfway, where I had to stop, get out and start planning lines around and behind some of the big boulders where I couldn't quite remember what was over the other side. I scrambled up, and I worked out my lines and that it was driveable with no lockers in the dry with hopefully no panel damage ( if you stayed on the only line available ), but no-one else would come up with me. Probably lucky for me .....
I ended up backing back down to recover a teetering vehicle stuck below me, as I was in the best spot to help, and after some short deliberation, decided that it would be wise to leave it to the bike.
