G'day from Jim Kay
G'day all,
I'm a total newbie to this forum caper, so if I say say or do anything offensive or breach protocol in any way I apologise in advance and won't take offence if someone sets me straight.
I have recently got myself a 2002 GU with ZD30DDTi motor which has suddenly become terribly sluggish and totally gutless under load. Hope I'll be able to pick up a few clues through these forums. Also hope I might be able to pass on tips which might be of use to others in the future.
I'm looking forward to this new (for me) experience.
Jim K
PS. What's a tag?

G'day Jim and welcome to the forum. Sluggish ZD30? Could be MAF clean will help, or fuel or air filters, lots of things. More people will welcome you the forum then the diagnostics can begin. Probably in another thread.

Hi Jim and welcome to the Forum Looks like your motor just needs a little TLC.
If youre blowing black smoke it could be lack of boost, but as above clean the MAF sensor and report back
In the meantime jump in anytime and enjoy

The motor doesn't appear to be blowing smoke so I'm guessing that's a good thing.
Have gone out and bought myself a new air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, and some decent oil.
Will include a MAF sensor clean as soon as I get a chance to do the service.
Hopefully that will do the trick - I'll let you know.
Jim
