2002 4.8 Petrol GU Patrol Transfer Pump

Hey Guys,

I have a 2002 GU 4.8L Patrol wagon and the sub tank has died. I have tried unplugging the battery which got it working for an hour or so and also I have run a new earth to the chassis. So I am thinking that the pump must be gone. I believe that these pumps are outside of the tanks and not that difficult to replace? If so, does anyone have one I could buy? It's the worst timing as we are going on a long trip on January 5th and of course all the 4wd servicing places are busy as.

The pump is located at the front of the sub tank. Behind a metal guard. Easy to remove and refit. Any wreckers should have one, or i assume you could retro fit an aftermarket jobbie there.

Edit : maybe could run 12v direct to the pump to see if it is the pump and not something else. If that can be done...
