Touch wood all else seems to be running OK, including Bluetooth.

That's interesting. I'll try turning off the auto time with the GPS and see if that makes a difference to the new unit (yep that one is doing the same), although I thought I'd tried this before or maybe not. Thanks for the info as I was about to pull it all out again when I got home from Hols as I was suspecting maybe something in the wiring.

    Cheers
    Darren

I recently bought one of these from Rays, on sale for $734, couldn't resist at that price. I will use it as a freezer to go with the 9 year old 50l Waeco.

As a consequence of buying that second fridge I needed a second fridge slide. I bought a Waeco SLD 060 slide from 4THE in Perth for $256 delivered to my door, best price I could find.

Also bought another 105 ah Fullriver AGM locally for $295 and associated cabling to instal that 3rd battery in the back with the fridge. Suddenly that cheap fridge has cost me heaps

The last bit of kit was a barn door extension bracket off evilbay, $24.50, that allows the second fridge to slide in and out without hitting the door.

Just need to keep an eye on charging to make sure the alternator can keep up with the 3 batteries when they are all being drawn on.

Top looking rig. I recently had a look around for something similar and could only find 1 4.2TD wagon and it was 45k ( planning for the future) Good stuff with the bus the good ole white over black never looks dated

An update on the clock issue.

The clock did start to play up again, so the seller was contacted and finally supplied a software update. This update seems to have fixed the clock problem.

We have just returned from 3 weeks traveling through central NSW and Qld. The GPS worked well, the USB input for my music was great, and there where no overheating issues that some other units seem to suffer from, the unit was on for an average of about 6 hours per day. Ozi CE was also used for some of the more remote travels and it also worked well.

Update pic from Simpson crossing in June, got the alloys back on

You will notice I have gone back to the alloys, the offset on the steelies meant the tyres stuck out past the guards on the camper and where marginal on the Patrol.
