Correct? Thanks for your help -it's what I was after.
You need to get one front and one rear. Not two of the same... as the rear has the LSD and the front doesn't. As far as I'm aware the fronts are the same from ute to wagon.

Also the fronts are a 31 tooth spline axle and the rears are 33.. (note, that's in the gq.. I'll check my gu diffs once home)
So you'll definitely need a front and rear set.. regardless of lsd or open. .

Sorry to hijack the thread, but will an LSD rear fit in a front? If so, it seems like an easy way to get better front traction.

Hi Deevo
You can find the ratio stamped on the crown wheel might come in handy if buying s/hand diff

Depending on the model a rear lsd centre can be put in the front
I have a rear H233b lsd from a mk wagon in the front of my gq as the both have the correct spline count on the axle. To retain the correct ratio, I swapped the ring gear from the gq front.
You cannot put a lsd from the rear of a gq in the front of a gq different spline count. Also, it is a good idea to have manual uubs, to prevent wearing out the lsd on ashfelt
