    Nanga Mill (Dwellingup) over Xmas

    Hi,

Has anyone camped at Nanga Mill in Lane Poole Reserve (Dwellingup) over the X-Mas period? The Nanga Mill can not be booked and is ‘first come first serve’ basis, so I’m wondering if anyone that has been there during x-mas can tell me what the capacity is at those times. Does it get absolutely full or would I be right to score a spot for a large tent if I arrive first thing on X-Mas morning?

I am travelling with two toddlers so trying to plan well ahead and avoid surprises that could very quickly turn my day to an absolute nightmare.

Cant help you with how busy it will be but if you do go take some good insect repellent, otherwise the bloody march flys will give you the shits.

Ring the Dwellingup DPAW Rangers as they will have the best idea and great advice.

Nanga Mill is a huge area but the choice shady spots will def be gone by then I reckon.

I noticed the other day that virtually all the bookable camping areas in Lane Poole were 99% full so that will give you an idea.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Cheers. Yeah I had a look and like you said all others were 99% booked out. I'm hoping for the best and will give it a try, but will definitely be considering a plan B. Things are so much more complicated with kids! If it wasn't for them I would have been happy to roll out my swag under a bus stop shelter.
