    Thermos recommendation

    Hi all,

I am looking at buying a large thermos for camping and am just wondering if anybody has any recommendations. I don't mind paying a bit more for quality, but I have no idea what a good brand and reasonable price range is. Ideally looking for something like a 1.5L thermos with a wide opening in case we want to use it for soup etc..

    Would appreciate any pointers.

I still use a 'Stanley' thermos my Dad had 40 years ago, stays hot for almost 2 days. Recently bought a 1L new Stanley for about $120 with a life time warranty and it is crap. Had it replaced 3 times so far. It doesnt stay hot. Maybe look into stoves instead as Col suggested.

Thermos brand or Stanley. It's worth spending the extra. Keep an eye out at places like Harris Scarfe which often have 40% off.
