    Breather lines on 2014 GU

So I just wanted to get some clarification on the diff/gearbox/transfer breathers in the newer GUs.
What I can see on mine is the breather lines come up from the various cases into the bottom of the engine bay (see below)
The breather lines are the front 3. I believe the two behind are vacuum lines for the rear locker.

From there they go into this plug in the left of the engine bay above the front left wheel arch. With the 2" lift in my vehicle that plug ends up just over 1m from the ground

So what happens to them on the other side of there? Are they just open or are there filters or one-way valves attached?
My friend is wanting to do a "river" crossing and I'd like to sort out any shortcoming in the breathers before then.
...and yes, I realise the rear diff needs attention due to it being much lower than the others.

Yeah, that's what I was intending to do but I also wanted to double (and triple) check I was looking at the right hoses.
Should I just disconnect the poly section from below the engine and run new stuff from the metal tubing? What do I do with the tubes still attached to the side of the engine bay? Just coil them up tie them out of the way?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Or cut the tube where ever it suits you and join from there mate. Your never going to remove the breathers so the factory will be obsolete.

Kit arrived today. It's the PU hose type with the push fittings.
As soon as I looked at it I wondered how I was going to join that hard plastic tube to the existing lines.
Any thoughts or do I improvise? I was thinking maybe using some barbed joiners for aquarium air hose... looks about the right dimensions.
