Post What to buy - GQ Nissan Safari/TD42

hey guys fairly new to the 4x4 scene, i am looking to buy a GQ and throw some money into it. I have found a Nissan Safari (which to my knowledge is the only GQ factory turbo 4.2). what I am wondering is would I be better to stick to a TD42 N/A and fit a turbo kit? Is the Nissan Safari the same motor as TD42 but with turbo already fitted?
    Any feedback is appreciated, cheers

Hi mate and good luck in your quest, but when you have time can you pop over to the intros.
Just something the Forum asks of us all, polite and all before asking questions

personally....buy the Aussie complied GQ mate, lots of them are already turboed aftermarket anyways, and if you find one that's worthy of ownership and is NA, no biggie, get it done yourself the way you want it done.
You mentioned you wanna throw some coin at one, begin with a good honest truck from the start you can't go wrong.
It's just me, but I'm not a big fan of any of the grey import trucks out there, no offence intended to those that own them.
    Good luck.
