Fuel Tank on a W260

Good day, fellows,

About a month ago, my diesel tank started leaking so bad that it was impossible to drive the car. I've got a RD28T Spanish-made Patrol W260, which is now getting lots of air through its dieseltank...

I've been looking high and low - and I'm starting to lose hope on finding a new tank. My mechanic had found one, assured me that everything was just fine. I drove 50 kilometres and it this tank was even just as rotten.

Any advices?
