Yeah who knows where the hell our diesel comes from now with the closure of most of our refineries. Apparently some diesel is coming from India. I hope their quality control standards have improved in the 20 odd years since I visited. It was shizen hausen then

Matilda / Puma for me. Used to get it at the depot where the B doubles fill up for their interstate runs but as they poke the same stuff ( no biodiesel in it) into my local servo get there from the Indians who are open 400 days a year. My girls have diesels and they get an extra 50 to 70 kms a tank cf to other brands around here.

I only use the name brand stations, mainly BP as its closer to home. Having a CRD makes me nervous about putting non brand name diesel in the truck. Maybe it comes from the same refinery, maybe it doesn't.
The Mobile/BP/Caltex/Shell stations I think either get the diesel refined here or straight from Singapore so the quality will usually be pretty good.

We have an old school fuel station here called Loris that fill your car up for you, always reasonably priced, is a truck stop and goes through a crap of load of diesel so its always fresh! Otherwise BP or Caltex.
As soon as I fill I chuck in the CEM CRD fuel enhancer and FOC decarbonizer which has an anti-biocide in it, with the crap low sulfer stuff we get in this country there is no way I wouldn't run a quality additive especially for the common rail.

Been using BP for ages - use it here as it is the main station and all the logging trucks etc fill up there so the supply is fresh.
Seemed like a good idea at the time
