@Ben-e-boy . Some progress after Bens rebuild failed. Another TD is getting ready to go in. Have done some lightening to his flywheel. Lightest one I have done to date. Got it down to 11.9kg.20180429_132551.jpg20180429_132600.jpg20180429_132630.jpg

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Got an import T motor. Mat's old turbo. No new internals , my good cylinder head. I'm not going through the rebuild process again as I have no trust in others to do it right and this time it will Actually be my fault if it fails. Just boost till it blows.

Yep. After seeing what it did on a stock motor v the 18g, knowing it'll be better than the Garrett, knowing what I achieved with the Garrett (seat of pants feel as it failed before I found out on paper) which IMO I credit to the cylinder head for a bit of that improvement.
    I think it'll suit what I like
