Newbie
Hi everyone,
Yes, I'm a newbie to this forum as well as just having bought my first 4WD, a 2011 3.0 diesel, some time ago. As I encountered my first problem, I thought Google would lead me in the right direction and it did. I couldn't believe the wealth of info I found within this site.

Hi Newbie:
I'm newer to this stuff than you, as I know nothing about mechanical stuff. My partner purch'd a '92 Nissan Safari, diesel a little while ago. His mechanics are working on it, getting it in working order, and my man 'asked' me to find a service manual online, if I could. So, I'm doing what I've got to do to get the manual. You say the engine is a 3.0 diesel. I called the shop where it's being worked on, asked them the size of the engine, and I was told it's a TD42. I read 2 different sizes could be 2.8 or 3.0 - which would ours be? what's the difference?
