For those with windows 7, honestly I don't personally believe there is enough merit for upgrade to 10. If it works, why fix it ???
If you're on windows 8, well, 10, could not have come sooner.
Just my 11 cents.

I've heard you have to pay annually to keep using stuff like Word.
Anyone confirm?
I'm sticking with 7 no issues and fast enough for this brown duck!

Was 8 to 10 a free upgrade? I use 8 on my work laptop but use 7 on my gaming desktop. So I wont be changing that one at all.

Another point to remember is that the upgrade to Windows 10 is free only up to 29 Jul 2016 (at least that is what they are saying at the moment). So you do have a year to make up your mind - no need to rush in. It is often worth waiting for a subsequent release of any new software so some of the major problems get sorted out.

I'm now running WIN 10 on two laptops & two desk tops. No problems so far. Very fast to load and no driver problems with any of my other gear. I think I'll be sticking with it although I did remove all the tiles. More like the "classic view" now.
I think that I saw that the MS Office Pack is now by annual subscription. Dont think it will be long befor that's pirated.

Windows 10 is a privacy nightmare!
Beware that Windows 10 is operating system which spies and reports on everything you do.
Windows 10: Here are the privacy issues you should know about
Whatever happens, Microsoft knows what you’re doing…
The updated terms also state that Microsoft will collect information “from you and your devices, including for example ‘app use data for apps that run on Windows’ and ‘data about the networks you connect to.'”
Advertisers will know exactly who you are
Windows 10 generates a unique advertising ID for each user on each device. That can be used by developers and ad networks to profile you. Again, you can turn this off in settings, but you need to know where to look:
and
Microsoft can disclose your data when it feels like it
This is the part you should be most concerned about: Microsoft’s new privacy policy assigns is very loose when it comes to when it will or won’t access and disclose your personal data:
We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect our customers or
enforce the terms governing the use of the services.
Windows 10 violates your privacy by default....
Microsoft’s Windows 10 is a privacy nightmare....
Not so free now is it! Anyway prepare for times when MS Windows will be as a service where you will pay subscription based per year perpetually forever. Be also aware that Win 10 constant reporting/data sharing can become an issue if you are on limited bandwidth/data allowance.
There is no such thing as a "free lunch"...
No thanks!

As a new product I expect there to be many bugs in it. It would probably be stable after a service pack is finally made. As for the reporting back to MS nothing surprises me. Everyone wants to know what we get up to these days. Isn't Facebook and twitter enough personal information for them to look at for free?

Using it on the PC and on the phone. Mostly love it. Occasional brain farts which require a restart
