Clutch fork came off bearing. Conversion. Need some help here :)
Hey fellas,
the clutch fork came off the release bearing (slave cylinder popped out), on initial start up . Is it a gearbox out? Or can it be done by sliding the box back, while still on the input shaft.
AND- what caused it to happen?
Thanks fellas
Mark

Theres a steel clip that holds the fork to the bearing carrier. That clip might have broken, or just let go of the fork. The fork also sits on a ball to pivot on and is held in by a wire retainer. The ball pivot can break, the retainer broken and also the fork itself might be broken. If it were me, i would remove the dust boot on the bell housing and try and see whats happened before you decide to remove the box. One of those cheap Aldi inspection camera's would be handy right now....
