The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Hello,
it seems there is an option for a rear heater for GU / Y61 - but only for those manufactured for the colder areas of northern Europe.
This is what I have found:
http://nissan.epcdata.ru/safari/wfgy...c/270/27300~A/
and
https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/nissan/part/GL/Y61/270
There are even some part numbers there, so maybe you will be able to source them.
I will try this modification also, but I have sourced a rear heater unit from a GQ / Y60 and will try to chop the center console and fit this in

I have heated seats in the from, from ebay work very well imo.
You would need them on a timer or similar as they might flatten your battery if left on

.........
@AB mate found an old thread here with diesel heater links and advice above.
Finally trialled folks a single bed 240v(60w) electric blanket running through my utes 1000w inverter last weekend in around say -2/4 mountain top overnight camping.
First and second night kept it on 'Low' and after 6 hours snoring chewed through about 0.9/1 volt off the 60amp Optima auxiliary battery. Third night got gready and set it on 'Medium' which sucked the battery down by over twice before to a damaging 10.5 volts. I'd say a minimum 120amp auxiliary system would be needed folks and or diesel air heater I will now investigate further. Portable would be awesome to move between camper, tent, ute pod differing trips etc....
