Selling my petrol and buying a diesel

Hi everyone, I own a 98 4.5l patrol dual fuel with 260k kms on the clock. I've owned it for about 6 months but I find that the efficiently and power is pretty poor. I bought it for $10,000 with a 2inch lift, 33 muddies, stainless snorkel, bullbar and spotties.
I have found a 98 4.2 diesel for sale which has 260k kms dual battery system, snorkel, arbbull bar and a couple other things. It costs 13,000
My thought process is that I could buy the diesel and swap the lift, muddies and other things from my petrol. Then sell the petrol
The advice I'm after is: do you think it is worth doing this? How much would my 4.5l be worth after stock items are put back on it? Is the 4.2 diesel worth the buy

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

You should get around 9k for the 4.5 stock and in good nick.

But a td42 for 13k is a good buy. All the goodies will be a straight swap across.

If your wanting to upgrade it would be the best way to go.

If the 4.2 is stock don't expect it to be more powerful than the 4.5.. unless your 4.5 has issues that prevent it running as it should.
Economy wise it's a no brainer. I'm converting mine at the moment.
