Outback NSW around three years ago where it was decided that this would be a good spot to land, have some tea, wait for it to get dark, then go do some stuff.

    Anzac Day at Waddy Point

He was due at 10.11am and made it spot on time.
Came in nice and slow as can be seen with leading edge and flaps slightly down.
Not as impressive as the F111's doing about 600knts at 100/150 ft from Indian Head to Inskip Point.IMG_4414c.jpg

Catalina on tarmac at Qantas museum Longreach between the 747 and 707. It is being restored by volunteers and was flown to Australia with 2 replacement DC3 engines from Nth America I think. During WW2 these planes (ex Qantas) flew non stop for up to 28 hours Perth to Ceylon (in those days) carrying VIP's and mail to the troops in radio silence to avoid the Japs. They never lost a plane. Amazing navigation and performance considering it is such a basic plane.

Indian Head taken from Cessna 206 at about 400ft. Joy flight was birthday present from my son and it was good to see Fraser from the air for the first time.

I was custodian of Sari the Bear from my little Girl's Kinder group. She got Top Secret Clearance and is one of the only Aussies to Touch the F22 RAPTOR. Most Advance Top Secret Fighter plane on the Planet!

To give some perspective on this pic. I was the Fire Guard for refueling on this aircraft. I stood inside the cordon. I stood and spoke to the Crew Chief of this group for 45 minutes only 300mm from the wing of this aircraft. After 45minutes making small talk I humorously asked if I could touch it? I was so close I could touch it with my elbow bent! Close!

He went immediately serious! "No Sir, you can not do that."........ "Really?"..... "Sir, if you touch the Aircraft I will Arrest you!"...... Oh! "No probs mate, I understand"

Was not a good time to show him this pic of his Crew sitting a Foreign Object on His Aircraft the day before! .... No no no! That would have been a very bad idea!

    Lol! True story!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk cause AB turned it back on!!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
