May give Mark a ring. He might have a stockie lying around you could use, for now.
That cooler will be better than what you have i reckon. For sure. if you must do this now you dont have much option. Id just leave it for now until you can get what you want....

Might go see Mark.
I don't think I'll go to CC or HPD in the near future, as I doubt I'll tinker with a different turbo, maybe just air intake increase thats about it.
So don't have much choice.....
The fact the oil leak out of the IC is so sudden is whats got me confused as I was under there yesterday morning and it weren't there. So if it's cracked between then and now, I'm concerned it may let go further on when I leave friday and weather is warming up etc...

Bugger mate. I just sold my stock cooler set up as well, although bit of a trek to get it.
Cheers Rod

Thanks mate. It's not a biggie its just an IC, the fact it decided to surprise me with a patch of oil instead of the usual "sweat" of oil like the grenade intercoolers... is whats unusual. Worst case is just drive with with . What on earth could happen lol.
That eBay unit looks alright, but it could be just chinese junk..

No catch can mate. He'll have a bit. Enough for it to drip out of a hole.

Make your own top mount of using a fmic. There is nothing wrong with having a real good intercooler regardless off turbo but if your worried about quality and dont wanna fork out for a cc then have a look st the ARE items which are a direct replacement.

I have run out of time, so the leaking IC will go to the high country with me... Just hope it doesn't split open further ....

Thanks Matt.
I was under the impression, by word of mouth and from reading somewhere from memory that , larger intecoolers such as the CC one, create too much air volume for the factory turbo to push through... So unless you have a larger airbox, larger intake (4" for example" and a bigger and/or better turbo, the much larger IC are not as efficient ??
As I said, I vaguely remember reading this a few times. It may or may not be right ...
I don't intend on upgrading the turbo or anything like that in the near future. But when and if I do, I'll just do the whole lot, 4" intake, turbo, pump etc.. But that is not on the horizon for some time.
For now, Maybe a higher flowing air box such as the HPD Cobra head maybe or the fatz airbox like a few here run, just to make the 4.2 breathe a bit better ... and a better intercooler which now I actually have to do.
I've had a look at the ARE (I was wrong in my post earlier, they DO actually have a 4.2 / 2.8 one). HPD also do a good one supposedly...
