I just walked outside to have a look at mine
thought there was something funny about them

they (previous owner) put in some screws - like the ones you use in plaster board.... flat head self tapping Phillips head's

maybe I need to put a spot of black paint on them to hide the screws?

FYI mine hasn't been fixed yet! Too many distractions (or maybe too much procrastination!!)

Shoot down to local bolt bloke, grab some of those nice black Allen key bolts and nylock nuts, and put 1 on either side of the cowling, I reckon that would look very neat and it wouldn't move.. Just another random thought lol

Pity about that katwoman, im in the west and my full length ally rack is sitting in the shed gathering dust.

But your post has given me the idea of hiring it out to people who dont have the need to purchase but need one for a trip.
