Patrol Freak
Seem to be getting conflicting weather reports atm from various sources, but looks like we maybe in for some more snow over the weekend...plus high winds. If today is anything to go by I think the chainsaws will get a work out!!

Patrol God
Workmates best mate works for DEPI spoke to him today and there is a s#it-ton of trees down all over the join. A lot won't be cleared for a while, unless a passer by (4x4 etc...) gets rid of it if its across a track. Weather will keep the windy momentum well into the weekend. Be careful folks.

For anyone that knows, If I was to not cross the river, are the campsites generally on Walhalla side or Licola side?
Yes, Burgoynes Gap tk is quite steep in some parts and in the wet could be very slippery. Especially the Licola side where there is more clay.
I would imagine at this time of year it's highly likely the MacAllister crossing will be impassible (at least for the sane anyway).
There are pretty much no campsites on the Licola side of the river (well there are but they're on the river). Once you climb out from the gorge towards Licola the only places you'd have to camp would be on the ridge or helipad and that would be really sh!t at this time of year.
Plenty of campsites on the Walhalla side.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
