Patrol - Norwegian style!
Hello people from the internet! This is my way of showing the world my life from the garage.
Last year me and my girlfriend was on Iceland at vacation. (Iceland is Arctic truck paradise!) just take a look at what i've got my inspiration to buy an Patrol!

So after a good vacation i'd got home hurrying on the internet for a Patrol and this is what i bought:

The biggest engine you'll get in a Y60 in Norway is the RD28T. you can't get an TD42 approved by the government so that is something i just have to accept (if i'm a street legal guy) One other issue here is the roads at winter; their salted! later in this thread you will see what salt will do to a Patro! Just warning you guys.
hope y'all enjoy!
Kind Regards

I parked the Patrol a few months ago, think was in march, when the temperature went above 0 C. Started with the removal of the body.
I parked it so it would be available for the tractor witch lifted the body of after i've jacked the critical cm off the frame:

jacked the body so i could enter the lifting arrangement:

After placing the body on supports i could enter the problems on the frame much easier.

the issue was (as i mentioned earlier, the rust made by road salt). before any cool modifications i want on my car i need to get it in original condition. That is the current goal.

yeah rust is nasty sh*t. well, i thought i should do something about this rust properly from the start. so i disambled the entire body frame down to the last screw. then i did send it to a guy nearby who sand blasted it and covered the frame with som zink coating.
After i received the frame from mister sand blasting i started the real job that i've actually just finnished - welding
i bought my self a steel plate (2000 x 1000 x 3) witch i brought with me in a too small camry '99! and started cutting plate to insert in the frame.
some pictures:
Welding machine is called Kemppi EVO 170. is this a known brand in australia, cus this is top notch in europe ( its form finland though)

we call them inverter welders , becoming very popular,
should have taken photo with plate on the Camry , very funny
In the end the frame is not too bad?well repairable from the looks of it.
Now for body lift

really, the kemppi does it work! easy to work with. I recommend it!
The picture of me, steel plate and the sedan camry isn't ready for internet yet i think haha!
well threedogs, i was a bit concerned before sandblasting about this rust but really it was in better condition than i thought! and news like that is always good. so good that i celebrated with a "soda" and some good music while welding
well lift kit will be installed when the car has deserved it (by getting in good condition again)
Kind Regards
