    cleaning the intake

    hey guys pulled the intake manifold off my 2002 patrol zd30 engine cleaning for egr blocking plate but there is a lot of build up on the head its self any ideas as to how to clean that without getting inside the cylinders.

    Very carefully. I will be doing the same in the coming month. The head on mine is quite dirty too. I might hit it with the karcher first.

    I think people soak it in kero overnight or something like that... In the morning everything should just fall off supposedly.

    I wouldn't touch in ports on the head unless the head is coming off :/

    High pressure Hot Water works way better in cleaning then any chemicals then chuck in a parts washer

    Can any one tell me what other gaskets are needed besides the inlet manifold gasket to do the manifold clean as i would like to get what i need in advance please
