Offset king pin bearings the solution?

    Hi,

I have an issue where the front left tyre is wearing excessively on the outside.
All other tyres look perfect except the front left.
The car does not pull excessively to the left, and generally tracks well.

I've searched and looked up as much information as I could, and the name Straight Wheel Truck Alignment in Rocklea (Brisbane) came up a few times.
    Anyone here used them before?
Is there anywhere else in south / south east Brisbane that can be recommended to rectify this seemingly common Patrol problem, as I've noticed that people talk about offsetting king pin bearings etc.

Have you had a wheel alignment done first to determine what may be causing the problem. It could also be a loose or worn bearing. Jack up the front axle, grab the top and bottom of the tyre and check if there is any movement.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

When I was at Pro Axle down here in Melbourne they showed me a adjustable king pin bearing carrier which they said they use for this exact issue. Rotating your tyres often will help by just sloeing the wear process down.

    Thanks Gents,

I'm going to take the car down to these guys and see if there's anything they can do...
