    Outside temperature sensor

    G'day guys
Just wondering if there is an outside temperture sensor that plugs in and reads on the instruments, I know the D40 has one but can't find anything for the GU. Just to read the outside temp.

I just bought a cheap Ebay unit for in side temps, easy enough to adapt to an outside sensor.
where would you put the probe under the 4x4 somewhere?
I also just brought a double din unit and noticed it had a temp reading
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Yeh I was looking at those. A mate of mine had a D40 and he brought a sensor and plugged it in and the read out was on the dash, I was wondering if they do that in the overseas models, and not here.

The Ti's had a temp sensor and compass in the overhead map light/sunglasses console. There is a thread here or maybe on patrol4x4 detailing retro fitting one.

I tried several outside temperature gauges - all failed within a few months.
    Then I found this site...
    http://www.car-lab.com/
    Search for outside temperature gauges.

These are impressive looking gauges. Accurate and reliable. You can get a neat pod to house the unit and mount on top of the dashboard. I have mine next to a compass on the dash. I have a dash mat that covers the top of the gauges as direct summer sun on a black mounting pod won't do the electronics much good
I mounted the sensor under the bull bar.

    If fitted..

There could be up to two temperature sensors, depending on vehicle.
